"You know where you are, and God knows where you are... but if your dispatcher doesn't know where you are, you and God had better be on good terms." That's an old police saying that still rings true today. In addition to keeping track of the deputies, answering calls, and handling radio communications, Sheriff's dispatchers in Yell County still have to guard the jails as well.

2005 has seen the 911 system go online with the primary dispatch now being handled out of the Danville Office.
